COLEMAN CRYSTAL MINE, ARKANSAS |
| Stopped just east of Little Rock at McDonalds for breakfast. Drove on to Coleman's Crystal Mine near Hot Springs, Arkansas and arrived about 11:00 AM. Plugged in RV at a really primitive campground, and headed for the dirt piles... or I should say "mud piles" because of intermittent rains. Found several crystals. Made several rest stops before arriving home in the wee hours of the morning. |

There were three members of this daring team that headed west in quest of the magic crystals... Paul, Cheri, and Joy. |

We turned off the paved road onto a lonely gravel stretch, climbed the steep and arrived at our dream quest... way out in the middle of "no where" Arkansas. |

We looked over the cabins and quickly decided to stay in the RV during our adventure. |

True explorers are undaunted by the every day trials and tribulations... so we persevered and our efforts were rewarded by our many great finds. |

| Even though we didn't find the "mother lode", we enjoyed looking at it in the center's gift shop. |

| When we got home, we had to wash and soak our treasure in Oxalic Acid to clean them. |
 |
 |
 |
|
|
And so ends another adventure... and we dream of more quests in some far away place at some other time. |
