LEADVILLE, COLORADO |
| We decided to make our next stop for the night at Leadville, Colorado, the highest city in elevation in the country at 10,430 feet. It made rock hunting on the steep incline of the many mines in the area... interesting to say the least. Hunting is all we did... finding rocks is what we didn't do. The city was old and historic and we found it interesting. The weather was cold with a touch of winter already in the area. We could see left over snow in the mountains. |
