| HOBSONS
HOUSE Located at the west end of Main Street. Home of Colonel Atwood G Hobson, Lawyer, banker and Union officer, begun, 1860. During Confederate occupation of Bowling Green, 1862, CSA General Simon B Buckner saved house at request of his friend, USA General W E Hobson, son of owner. Used as munitions depot. After the war, Colonel Hobson made this his home until death, 1898. RIVERVIEW at HOBSON GROVE is the actual name of the house The family lived in the house until 1952. Since
1972, the house is now a historic house museum and is available to tour
