Ogden Memorial Methodist Church
This cornerstone was taken from the Methodist Church, 102 S Seminary.  This church replaced the first Methodist Church in Princeton, Kentucky.  It was built, 211 S Jefferson Street, 1818.  The brick mounted here are from that church.  This is our heritage, 1957.

UNIVERSITY of KENTUCKY in PRINCETON, KENTUCKY

UNIVERSITY of KENTUCKY  RESEARCH AND EDUCATION CENTER
Established by Kentucky legislature in 1924 as Western Kentucky Sub-experiment Station of the University of Kentucky College of Agriculture.  Original 400 acres donated by Caldwell County citizens.  S J Lowry was superintendent 1924 - 1963.  First office / service building was completed in 1931.  The Research and Extension Building was dedicated in 1980.

MURAL # 2  EDUCATION PAST TO PRESENT
Caldwell County maintains excellence in education.  Left to right:  Fredonia School;  Lewiston School;  Eastside Elementary School;  Dotson High School;  Princeton's first Public Library;  West Side Elementary School;  Princeton's first African American High School;  Butler High.

MURAL #3  WAR IN THE BLACK PATCH
Depicts early 1900's Tobacco War in Western Kentucky.  Dark Tobacco- Gives the name for the Black Patch Tobacco Region of Western Kentucky.  Portraits- James B Duke the owner of Tobacco Monopoly;  Dr David Amoss (Home at Cobb Below);  A local country doctor known as the General by the Night Riders;  A Kentucky Night Rider, a militant masked farmer who rode by night to intimidate farmers;  Night Riders burn warehouses during a midnight raid on Princeton.

MURAL #4  RAILROAD DAYS
In the early 20th century, Princeton was a regional center for the railroad.  Left to right:  The round house at Princeton's west end;  The Depot and Princeton Hotel;  One of Illinois Central Railroad's early steam engines;  Legendary Hobo Thomas Locke known as "Pegleg" by his railroad friends'  A phone booth placed along the tracks for communication'  Red caboose serving as part of railroad museum.

MURAL #5  CALDWELL COUNTY AGRICULTURE
For 200 years agriculture has been the primary business of Caldwell County.  The University of Kentucky College of Agriculture Research and Education center for Western Kentucky.  The sun sets behind old smokehouse.
