DELTA, LOUISIANA |

So as not to get confused, there are two Delta, Louisiana's. The big Delta is located near the New Orleans International Airport. The little Delta is nestled just across the Mississippi River from Vicksburg, Mississippi. Little Delta is a town whose hey-day was yesterday. Before Interstate 20 crossed the river, Highway 80 was the main east/west route to bridge the Big River and it ran smack through little Delta. |

| The town rests in the rich Mississippi delta, thus the name Delta. Wet and swampy is an apt description of the area. |

The town's main commercial building has been converted into a micro-casino. |

| If one looks closely enough, every town large or small, will have a uniqueness about it that makes visiting worthwhile. While in Little Delta I discovered the Graffiti Museum, a little known and almost always overlooked attraction of the town. It is located underneath the I-20 bridge and on the bridge columns. Access is via a gravel road on top of the levee that protects the town from frequent flooding by the river. I would speculate that Nostalgiaville is the first to publish this monumental art discovery. |
