| During the first part of February, 2003, your trusty explorer and his side-kick, Cheri headed for Biloxi, Mississippi to explore the other world of Biloxi... "Casino Row." Now, neither of your explorers are professional gamblers, but we do like to drown a nickel or two in the slot machines. When we gamble, it's not to win much... or to lose much... it's just to have fun. During this trip I decided to do a picture study of each of the casinos in Biloxi. A picture tour was made during the day, followed by a visit to do night pictures. The results are to follow, and we hope you enjoy the journey into Biloxi's other world. |

The grounds and the flowers are alone worthy of a visit to this casino. | |

| A large variety of slots exist for all tastes and pocket books. Consistent winning on the slots was very hard... to almost non existent for your explorer and only a short time was spent in this casino. |

| The casino, built on a boat hull, sits on the water adjacent to docked fishing and shrimp boats. | ![]() |
| On outer parking area in front of the casino is peppered with huge old live oak trees that try and envelope you when you step out of your car. At night, these trees are haunting and almost scary to behold. The lighting of the trees at night is a work of art. |

| Boomtown was the most consistently crowded casino, at times a few too many people and too much noise. Your explorer was able to win occasional pots, but overall it was not a really fun experience for either of two tries at this casino. |

The slots at the Grand were anything but grand... and waged a pitched battle with your explorer to hold onto every coin thrust inside them. The battle was short, and retreat was quick. |

| Of all the casinos visited, this was the favorite of your explorers and we made multiple pilgrimages through its doors. While we didn't win the "big bucks", we won consistently enough to have fun, and had long play times on most of the slots. Cheri, the four year old, was even able to bag herself a progressive jack-pot of note one of the nights during our stay in Biloxi. |
| The Isle of Capri Casino |

The Isle of Capri is the last beach front casino before crossing the waters heading east. The theme is light and bouncy and you expect "Puff the Magic Dragon" to leap out at you at every turn. | ![]() |
