The Casino Magic
mag11.jpg (24837 bytes) Casino Magic has an air about it.  It is crisp, clean, friendly, and professionally managed.  The building and grounds couldn't really be called elegant, but can certainly be called enticing.  There is... well... an air of magic about the place...

mag25.jpg (26470 bytes) But, alas... the old magic vanishes in a p-o-o-f when sitting in front of the slots. The machines are super tight and don't budge an inch even when coaxed by a grunt... and a tear or two.

The Palace Casino
The Palace provides an imposing presence on the skyline on the bay side of Biloxi.  The gold and white high rise hotel makes a bold statement that says, "Here I am... and you had better come and visit me!"

I can only describe the casino at the Palace as... well... ho hum.  It was actually kind of boring... especially when I concluded rather early that winning on the slots was out of the question.  After donating a few coins to the cause, I folded my tent... and slinked off into the night.

The President Casino
prs46.jpg (8535 bytes) On the first night of casino hopping, we dropped by and visited with the President.  This is a "meat and three" casino where the locals hang out and whose reputation is lots of loose slots.  While not as fancy as some of the casinos of Biloxi, the President has its own charm and comforts in the quest for fun and fortune.

Our first visit to the President was truly delightful... the slots were forgiving... and we thought we had found "hog heaven"... the southern dream.   A second try later with the machines turned ugly... all take... no give.

The Treasure Bay Casino

trb27.jpg (14768 bytes)

What could be more enticing than visiting a pirates treasure ship to gamble.  Puts one in the old swash buckling days where nothing was forbidden, and everything was yours for the taking.  A masterful job has been done with the decor to create a festive mood... a gambling mood.

The festive mood begins to fade as the fog of realization creeps into the mind that sits in front of a stubborn and  uncooperative slot machine that refuses to divulge the location of its buried treasure.  Luckily your explorer escaped before a mugging occurred.
