| West Glacier National Park, Montana | When we arrived at West Glacier, Montana, we checked into the Glacier Campground, about a mile south of West Glacier, the entrance to Glacier National Park. |
| The campground was the best we have encountered to date, with wide wooded spaces and a lot of privacy. | ![]() |

| One of our first pent up urges after checking in at the campground was to hunt rocks. The Middle Fork of the Flathead River flows through West Glacier and was close and accessible from the campground. We bagged some interesting rocks and cooled off in the crystal clear water. Raft trips were concluding at our rock collecting site, and we made arrangements for a white water raft trip with one of the guides. |

The next day we headed up into the mountains of Glacier National Park on the Road to the Sun. They call Montana "Big Sky Country", and it lived up to its billing on our excursion. |

Near the RV, Paul found a fire road during an evening run that was covered with wild flowers. We took a walk along the road before we headed west toward Idaho. |
