When we get as far west as we can go... to the
Pacific Ocean... we end up in Bud's RV Park. This sounds like a name we
would encounter in rural areas of Tennessee. It was located behind an all
purpose grocery store and was clean and neat and a welcome place to rest
for the night. The Captain's Club Restaurant next door to Bud's served as
good a seafood plate as we had ever eaten and we savored the tender
morsels. |

Paul took a quick trip out in the
country side looking for the unusual... and of course for the elusive
collectible rocks. The unusual came in the form of the "Largest Sitka
Spruce Tree in the United States", a truly phenomenal piece of nature's
handiwork. The elusive rock became just that... elusive. Mother Nature
just didn't see fit to create pretty rocks in this part of the country...
just gigantic trees! The next morning on our way down the coast, the four
year old was also awed by the giant tree. |
