This roller was used to pack the dirt on the dams when Lake Placid and Lake LaJoie were built in the mid-1930's. It was abandoned in the woods near the Lake LaJoie dam, where it remained until 1992. It serves as a memorial to the men who worked to build Chickasaw State Park. |
