Hickman County Courthouse		An old log courthouse was built in Vernon, the first county seat It was torn down and hauled to Centerville when county seat moved The courthouse was rebuilt in the center of the square A new brick, two story courthouse erected 1845 Second courthouse destroyed by Confederates March 12, 1866 Third courthouse rebuilt in 1867-’68 using same brick walls
