pictures and information submitted by visitor 10'06 The Bradford-Berry House began construction in 1796. Cecelia Bradford, the daughter of Henry Bradford who built the house using brick fired on the property married William Carrol who lived at the house. He was the first Governor of Tennessee. The stars on the house are anchors for steel rods running through the house to protect against earthquake
