Left Brownsville about 8:30 Wednesday morning and drove to Corpus Christi, Texas.  We parked the RV in the Greyhound RV Park next to the Greyhound Race Track.

THE USS LEXINGTON

We rode bicycles from the RV park to the downtown area.  Dinner was at the Marina, served at the Lighthouse Restaurant.  The aircraft carrier Lexington, converted to a museum, was docked in the area. wpe6F.jpg (2994 bytes) wpe71.jpg (3309 bytes)

Housed in a 40,000 square foot hanger adjacent to International Airport.  Museum is also home to the Rio Grande Valley Wing of the CAF.  More than a dozen war planes are on display.  Also features World War II artifacts.

We spent two days touring and bicycling in and around Corpus Christi.  The waterfront along the city is well done and a good experience.
