| After more rolling wheat field
filled roads, we finally stumbled across the beginnings of the
Columbia River Gorge and caught a first sight of Mt Adams, one of
the snow covered peaks that dominate the Washington and Oregon
skyline. |

| The next two nights were spent in
the infamous Peach Beach RV Park. The park was located on the banks
of the Columbia River and was surrounded by a peach orchard, thus
giving it its name. The next morning we made a discovery trip into
the back country. We crossed a bridge into Oregon where the
four-year old bagged another new state for her collection of
"been-to-states". Rock hunting was a challenge, but scenery
hunting was not. |
