Austin, Nevada was a unique stop in our march eastward.   The only RV park in town also doubled as the only Baptist Church in town.  We had to share the "Adam" and "Eve" bathrooms with the congregation on Sunday.  The campground people were nice, the view was great, and the weather near perfect.

There were many abandoned mines in the area and we set out to bag some gems from their tailings.  We didn't find rocks but we did discover some interesting sights during our travels. wpe9B2.jpg (5882 bytes)

A lead from a local rock shop took the eight year old far out into the Austin desert in a search for blue agate rock.  The trip back was an immersion into a classic Nevada sunset, and pictures were available 360 degrees on the horizon. wpe9C6.jpg (5743 bytes) wpe9D3.jpg (5595 bytes)
