I must have done a million crossword
puzzles before we got here. You see... the puzzles keep me occupied so that my
active mind doesn't freak out over the traffic. My eyesight is getting blurry
though, trying to focus intensely on the puzzles instead of screaming in total stock
terror at the traffic. We do have our system worked out though. When in
traffic, he tells me... "DON'T LOOK", then he lets me know when it's safe for me
to look again. Paul knows where he wants to go but finding it
is becoming difficult. The RV park where he wants to stay is now covered by a giant
casino. He finally gives up and parks the RV in a shopping area, leaves me,
and takes off in the Tracker searching for a campground. When he comes back we are
booked in for three days behind a casino called Circus Circus. He hooks the Tracker
back up and we finally are on our way to a well deserved rest.
The RV is hooked up and we crash for a long nap. I've never
seen Paul drop like that before. Traffic was so bad that we might as well have
been driving in New York City.
I let Paul be the guide since he has been here before so we are off
to the MGM Grand Casino. It is still day light and there is an excitement in the
air. It looks like a town getting ready for the circus to begin at sundown... but
this place is a continuous circus.
We eat a buffet style dinner at MGM. The food makes us wish
that we had two stomachs... like a cow. I have a tendency (a big one) to savor my
food. I oooh and ahhh a lot when I eat a delicious something or other and I ate a
lot of them tonight.
