CITY OF ROCKS STATE PARK, NEW MEXICO |

We drive up to lookout point and our senses are filled with a panoramic view of desert, mountains, rocks and foliage and then we watch the sunset. |
|
I see a brown bunny that blends in with the rocks. He stays ever so still. He thinks or at least hopes that we don't see him. There are not many clouds but we still get some good pictures. |
|
|
And so, we come to the end of another day in paradise... and dream about adventures of the morrow. |
|
We fill our morning with more sights at the City of Rocks State Park. The flag is at half mast to honor a police officer who died while on duty. The windmill is the type that pumps water in the desert. |

Paul takes a bike ride into the desert and I attempt to put some of this beauty on canvas. There are so many sparrows and other birds that are picking and eating here. The sky is blue and the wind has stopped. |
|
|
Some of the mountains look purple and the rocks look pink and gray. The trees that grow here shelter themselves in the rocks. It is absolutely beautiful. |
