DOWNTOWN ERIE
YEAR of the FROG in ERIE,
PENNSYLVANIA
| I'll have to be candid with
you... we were "hopping mad" when we pulled into the beautiful town
of Erie and found ourselves surrounded by hordes, packs, even
coveys... of frogs... frogs of every shape, size, and color.
They just sat there on the sidewalk and... well... stared at us with
unblinking, protruding eyes. There were a few people hiding in
the doorways of nearby buildings. They said that the frogs had
gone on a rampage and... gross... eliminated many of the town's
citizens. Said they started with the lawyers... then the
politicians... and all insurance and car salesmen. We then
thought, they said, that maybe the frogs really came to help us and
were not so bad after all... until some of the "good guys" started
disappearing. And now, we don't know what to do except stay
hidden and hope that when mating season comes around the frogs will
vanish back into the swamps where they belong. |
