We decided one museum was enough for the day, so we headed back to the RV before rush hour... but we got lost again... and got rushed by rush hour. The Saturday morning drive into the city was much more pleasant with less traffic... but we got lost again. We found a parking place on the Mall right in front of the Museum of Natural History, so we made it our first stop |

After visiting Dino the Dinosaur, we crossed the Mall and toured the "Castle", the original Smithsonian building. After eating lunch we toured the gardens. |

Our next encounter was the Museum of American History. When we stepped in the front door, a gift shop was located just to our left. At its entrance we were excited to find... Pages of Time on a big wall rack that grabbed you as you walked through the door. |

| Having seen about all the museums we could handle for the day, we headed north on good old Highway,,, and proceeded to get lost again! After finally making it back to the RV, Paul decided to take a bicycle ride on a trail near the campground. It led to the University of Maryland campus and was a delightful eleven mile ride along a scenic creek. |

| Sunday morning provided our escape window from the "City of the Lost"... and we didn't... get lost that is... on our way out. We drove south and east through Virginia until we reached Natural Bridge, Virginia. They had the "unnatural bridge" all boarded up and we chose not to pay to see it. The campground was quiet and peaceful, we ate at Elvis's place, and played around the Enchanted Castle |

| The next morning we headed south again and crossed into Tennessee at Bristol. The four-year-old snapped a few pictures along the way of the dazzling tree colors. |

When we pulled off I-81 for gas we noticed a sign for Panther Creek State Park. The afternoon was growing short, so we decided to stay at the park |
